Unspoken Conversations are the topics that are often swept under the carpet, whispered amongst the closest of friends and bitched about by many. I want to create awareness about difficult things that people face in life; grief, mental health, money, illnesses, family troubles, relationship difficulties and putting yourself first. I want to tell the truth about things that really matter.

Come fly with me!

Swimming in waterfalls in Cambodia!

I love travelling.

It rocks my socks.

The opportunity to escape the crazy every day Monday to Friday routine, to switch off my phone and become uncontactable, to truly avoid any kind of domestic duties, as well as drinking copious amounts of cocktails and all things alcoholic, stuffing my face silly with the local delicacies and just generally relaxing and unwinding.

Bliss.

Sipping cocktails in Thailand.

There's also the excitement that comes with exploring a new country. Feeling like you are the first to discover this cute little cove to snorkel in, or the first to trudge that giant mountain and to see the monkeys swinging from the trees, or the first to see the true beauty in a beautiful place.

AMAZING!

The people you meet along your journey definitely help to shape your experience. From the gorgeous and generous Thai people, to the sometimes pompous Italians, to the la de da French! By far, all Asian countries that I have explored have been the most hospitable and friendly people. They're just so cute that I want to stow them away into my suitcase...or maybe that's because they are goddesses with their hands and all things massage.

Cute Cambodian kids!
PURE DELIGHT!

Travelling also opens up the opportunity to meet and share a drink or 10 with people from all around the world. Mick and I met the BIGGEST legends from the Lake District in England while taking advantage of the 2 dollar cocktail happy hour on Phi Phi Islands in Thailand. This lead to a crazy New Years Eve watching lady boys dance, experiencing power black outs, filling our tables with the one hour of free drinks and listening to a little Thai guy singing Ladddddddy in reeddddddddd on the main stage.

GOLD!

Pushing the Pisa upright in Italy.

Travelling also opens your eyes up to another culture and way of life. Vietnam and Cambodia definitely made me appreciate the happiness that the simple things in life bring, like your family, friends, home and health. When you saw people living in homes made out of palm leaves, corrugated iron, cardboard and anything they could lay their hands on, I definitely appreciated the creature comforts of our home when we returned to Australia.

MAN I LOVE TRAVELLING!

It's just soooooo much fun!

Dancing in France.

Come fly with me every Thursday when I take you to a new destination to explore. I will discuss the places I've been, the things I've loved and the tips that I have learned along the way.

Have you travelled? What's been your favourite place so far? Do you have any tips for other travellers?

Skiing in Austria.

Look after yourself and those around you,

Kirsty x

I love travelling too! Looks like you have been to some great places. I did more traveling when I was single- my husband is more hesitant and doesn't like being out of his comfort zone but I'm definitely going to have to push him more to get to new places. I'm so excited for your traveling tips. Just found your blog and have loved getting to know you better. I'm excited to follow along!

As a family, we have tried to travel to a different place in the United States for our summer vacations. I have to say this has been a great investment! I'm amazed at how diverse our country is. I also have been to Jamaica, the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, and to my father's village in Sicily. The latter being the most amazing trip to visit family never seen before (my grandparents were Italian immigrants). Traveling is one of God's greatest gifts!

Dear Bonnie,

Thank you for your kind words! Trust me, I practically had to push Mick to the travel agent, PLEAD with him that we could afford to travel and pack his bags for him the very first time that we went overseas...

Now, he can't stop talking about the adventures that we got up to (okay, so mainly he talks about HOW CHEAP alcohol is overseas and the swim up bars, but hey, I've got him hooked for life!)

I can't wait to check out your blog and to get to know you better!

WOW! It sounds like you've also been to some truly amazing places :)

I love that we now have the freedom to travel (we all just need money trees to fund our trips!)

I agree, there's so many amazing places in our own countries! Australia is soooo gorgeous and I still haven't seen half of it.

I can't wait to explore America. Maybe once we have kids so that we can visit Disney land and world!

Woo hoo!
